Africa Day One

Sunday, June 17th
We left Charlotte yesterday at 9:40 A.M. We flew to Washington, DC, changed planes, and arrived in New York around noon. We ate lunch and boarded our plane for Africa at 4:20 P.M. After an hour and 1/2 on tahe tarmac waiting out a thunderstorm, we flew off on a 8000+mile (17 hours) journey to Johannesburg, South Africa. When we arrived the team from J-Life was waiting on us and loaded up into a bucky (truck), a Kombi (mini van) and a car to take the 1 hour road trip to Heidelberg where the ranch is located. When we arrived at the ranch, they had supper prepared for us. (9:30 Africa time, 3:30 NC time) We met all of our guides and had fun getting to know each other. It is time for bed. Internet connection is not great. I will get back to you as soon as I can.
